Yoga facilitator & Holistic Psychotherapist based in Sydney

“Join me in experiencing the wisdom of your body’s signals, returning to your birthright of feeling spacious in your body and breath”

Through trauma-informed movement, breathwork, meditation, and holistic psychotherapy, Tessa Tran offers pathways to reconnect with your body, deepen self-understanding, and cultivate a more integrated way of being.

Based in Sydney, I offer holistic psychotherapy, trauma-informed yoga, and photography through a creative, thoughtful, and deeply human lens.

For over a decade, photography has taught me to slow down, pay attention, and notice the moments that often go unseen. It was this same curiosity that led me to India to study Yoga, where each day began before sunrise with pranayama, meditation, asana, and philosophy. More than any physical practice, it was these quiet morning rituals that transformed my understanding of myself and the world around me. They became an invitation to live with greater presence, authenticity, and trust in the subtle inner knowing that guides us.

Following that thread led me to study holistic psychotherapy. Since then, it has been a privilege to sit alongside people as they navigate life's transitions, uncertainties, losses, and beginnings.
I believe there is something profoundly healing about being deeply witnessed, having space to bring forward the parts of ourselves that long to be seen, heard, and understood without judgement.

My work weaves together body, mind, creativity, and imagination. Drawing from psychotherapy, somatic practices, mindfulness, yoga, and expressive arts, I offer a space where healing is not about fixing what is broken, but gently remembering who you are beneath the layers of expectation, protection, and survival.

Whether we meet through therapy, movement, or creative practice, my hope is that our work together helps you reconnect with your own inner wisdom. Through curiosity, play, and compassionate exploration, we'll uncover the unique way your story wants to unfold-creating space for a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and deeply your own.

PSYCHOTHERAPY

A holistic approach to support you connect with your inner resources and a deeper sense of meaning and engagement in the world. Through attuning to your process I support you to work with what is marginalised within in order to integrate wholeness. Sessions involve working with emotional, physical and psychological obstacles and using therapeutic interventions that are gentle and validating to your lived experience.

private yoga sessions

There is no better way to enhance your practice than through private sessions personalised to your needs. I love helping people find increased flexibility and strength in their body and mind; as well as softening into the experience of being human. I have experience in hatha, vinyasa, iyenger yoga as well as yin. Past clients include beginners + advanced yogis, athletes, those seeking trauma-sensitive yoga, and mamas going through the prenatal to postnatal journey. Expect an asana practice that weaves in breathing techniques, visual and subtle meditation to dive deeper.

Meditation & Pranayama

Discover and re-discover the power within through meditation and breath work. These sessions generally include a few stretches to start and open the body before practising different breath work techniques dependent on your needs in the moment. Feel the limitlessness of meditation to create space within and notice how that ripples out into other aspects of your life.

Photography & Branding

Incorporating rituals and playfulness into photography sessions, I set the intention for us to relax into this playground of Life and have a good time, from this place it becomes easeful to go deep into what it is that you offer - first just by being you, and then the unique offerings you have for the world. Expect to have fun, to chase the best light with me, to find stillness and awaken parts of yourself as you allow yourself to be seen.

“I am here to keep becoming truer, more beautiful versions of myself again and again forever. To be alive is to be in a perpetual state of revolution. Whether I like it or not, pain is the fuel of revolution. Everything I need to become the woman I’m meant to be next is inside my feelings of now. Life is alchemy, and emotions are the fire that turns me to gold. I will continue to become only if I resist extinguishing myself a million times a day. If I can sit in the fire of my own feelings, I will keep becoming.”
