about

Psychotherapist, Yoga teacher, photographer based in sydney

In 2016, after 8 years of a solid yoga practice I was given the incredible opportunity to travel to India to photograph a wedding. I witnessed the pure magic of Rishikesh and the raw energy of Goa, and this is where I decided to do my 200 hour yoga teacher training with Ashtak Yoga.

I fell in love first with yoga philosophy and mantra, of a slow and steady hatha practice, and developed a slow burn intimacy with pranayama as I reaped the benefits of transformation through breath practices.

When I returned to home to Sydney I wanted to share this potent medicine of Yoga that I had experienced in an environment that leant more toward movement.

Since then I have also studied Holistic Psychotherapy, combining Jungian Depth Psychology, somatic work and process-oriented approaches to working with individuals.

To me the heart of both Yoga and Psychotherapy offer an approach to see people holistically. To walk alongside people in their process to see what unfolds. Both modalities provide a space for us to tap into a well of power and healing from within for deep transformation.

As a photographer I incorporate this curiosity and presence into this creative offering - my hope is that a session together reveals to you your own magic. Allowing you to embody yourself fully, to take up space in this playground we call Life.

You can find me on the timetable at Egg of the Universe Rozelle or book for a 1-1 private session or Telehealth.

YOGA AND PHOTOGRAPHY

capturing your essence through an intuitive eye

I approach photography the way I do with my yoga practice - with curiosity and joy to unravel the magic in front of me.

Your truth is your medicine - if you are after a photo session / a ritual of being seen I would love to play with light with you. Be revealed. To yourself and to others.

Let your offering be seen so the world can experience your one of a kind gifts.

Using ancient teachings adapted to a modern world

My yoga practice and offering as a teacher is steeped in the balance of empowering yourself and trusting in a greater flow.

Classes are designed for practitioners to stay curious, find their tapas (discipline), their sattva (balance and wisdom) and rajas (passion).

The balance subtly woven into each practice is to witness strength and contentment within each moment.

I view yoga as a bridge to realising our inner intelligence. Our yoga practice on our little rubber mat as well as in the world is our direct embrace to life.

Let’s use this ancient teaching to listen to the hum of our hearts and see where this creative path takes us.

It is said that before entering the sea a river trembles with fear. She looks back at the path she has traveled, from the peaks of the mountains, the long winding road crossing forests and villages.

And in front of her, she sees an ocean so vast, that to enter there seems nothing more than to disappear forever.
But there is no other way. The river can not go back. Nobody can go back.

To go back is impossible in existence. The river needs to take the risk of entering the ocean because only then will fear disappear,
because that’s where the river will know it’s not about disappearing into the ocean, but of becoming the ocean.
